Mariposa Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides play-based out-of-school time programming for children in San Francisco. Their mission is to support and inspire natural curiosity and independence through unstructured free play and engaging planned activities. The organization focuses on social-emotional growth, friendship, and increasing access to safe outdoor spaces in the Mission District and Bernal Heights.

Services and Programs

After-School Program: Specialized programming for children ages 5–11, focusing on social-emotional learning.

Summer & Holiday Camps: Seasonal camps centered around safe spaces and community-building through play.

Children & Family Program: A free drop-in play program for children ages 1–5 at the Bernal Heights Clubhouse.

Health & Nutrition Program: Initiatives aimed at supporting the physical well-being of participating children.

Junior Rec Leader & Leaders of the Future: Leadership growth opportunities for teenagers and college students.

Financial Assistance: Support available for families to ensure access to quality programming.
