Alemany Farmers’ Market
Known as “The People’s Market,” Alemany Farmers Market is a historic San Francisco institution. Established in 1943, it holds the distinction of being the first farmers’ market in California. The market is currently operated by the nonprofit Foodwise in partnership with the San Francisco Real Estate Division, continuing a long tradition of connecting urban residents with local family farms.
